Client Safeguarding
At QB, our Charitable Framework incorporates safeguarding which means protecting the welfare, legal and human rights of all people. We do this by complying with legislation and safeguarding regulations and principles. We also ensure our own policies and practices support people to feel safe and live their best life. At QB we uphold the rights of our clients, but also and importantly those who work for or with us. Quantin Binnah also has a Zero Tolerance for racial discrimination.

We believe that every person’s legal and human rights and wellbeing must be protected. This includes people’s right to receive services that promote their safety and wellbeing, participation and choice. Upholding the safety and wellbeing of our clients is at the core of everything we do and is reflected in our values: Nurturing Belonging and Connection
Our clients include infants, children, young people and their families, adults, older people, carers and people with disability. We recognise that our clients have particular vulnerabilities and therefore require extra support and consideration to ensure their wellbeing and safety needs are met.
Our Client Safeguarding approach compliments our commitment to being a Child Safe organisation.
Quantin Binnah is a Child Safe organisation and has zero tolerance for child abuse.
Every child and young person accessing Quantin Binnah has the right to feel safe. All Quantin Binnah employees, volunteers, contractors and community representatives have a responsibility to understand and activate their role in preventing, detecting, responding and reporting any suspicions of child abuse to the relevant authorities and maintaining a child-safe culture.
We believe every infant, child and young person has the right to feel safe and be safe from physical, emotional, economic, psychological, sexual and cultural abuse and neglect.
At QB we take our responsibility to be child safe seriously. We create cultures, adopt strategies and take action to prevent harm to the infants, children and young people with whom we come into contact.
Being a Child Safe Organisation means, we create safe and friendly environments for children. We also actively seek the participation and feedback of children, young people and their families. Our practice, policies and processes are informed by legislation and child safe regulations and principles, this ensures that all infants, children and young people are safe when they are with us. We ensure everyone associated with QB understands what it means to be part of a Child Safe Organisation, and that they have the necessary skills to identify and report concerns, and to respond appropriately.
